Autumn Winter 2008 general trends....
Military styling continues although slightly softened down with frills and lace detailing. A clinched waist always adds definition. Layer fur and soft leathers (Nappa leather is best for ultimate luxury) over existing styles. Soft and loose is this seasons most wearable trend. Skinnies are out and flares are in. Flat shoes make a comeback but only if their detailed. Paisley and folk looks in autumnal hues combine well with dark coloured jeans. Hippy glamour stays, keep the 70's style going Structured necklines and curvilinear silhouettes add elegance Keep lines clean with hidden zips and buttons. Accessorise with statement scarves, belts and hats. Soft gothic look is cool but not too dark. Statement jewellery is big news. Over-sized and chunky bracelets and necklaces get you noticed. Big detailed handbags are perfect for all those winter accessories - wear it long and on the hip.
Remember this is not a hard and fast rule but guidance. Take what you want from it and make your own look. Also remember that it is more important to match clothes to your body shape than the latest 'must have' as this will always look better on you. Above all enjoy life... just look good whilst your enjoying it!
