T-shirt - A Men's Fashion Necessity

In a world where the way you dress, can signify connotations of your personality, confidence and character. It is with this understanding of fashion, that there is a great importance of how one portrays themselves. Men's T-Shirts are a fundamental part of their clothing. T-Shirts are worn more by men than women; therefore there is a larger and more profitable section to target men.

T-Shirts for men range from anything from as little at £1 to an excess off £200. With such a varied spread of price T-Shirts are, and can be bought by anyone from any different economic background. Different T-Shirts give off different connotations of how people want to be recognised. Such as, depending on the season and time of year, different styles of T-Shirts are released. T-Shirts are more commonly realised during the summer, due to the obvious reason there is warmer weather, therefore cooler clothing is needed.

As discussed earlier, the design of a T-Shirts usually resembles the personality of the person. In regards to men who work out, often, on many occasions wear what is known as "slim fit" T-Shirts, which are designed to enhance their body shape. The men who work out, often wear this style of T-Shirts as they are often made tighter around their bicep and tricep, which creates and illusion of the arm looking much bigger then it is. The same illusion of the slim fit T-Shirt can be seen on the chest. The T-Shirt is made slightly tighter around the chest area that fits around the pecks and upper chest and in some cases, depending on the style of the slim fit T-Shirt, is made slightly tight on the abdominal area. All these little tightenings add up to a whole new image of how the T-Shirt portrays the man. The T-Shirt would make the man's upper body look much bigger and the waist smaller, giving of a triangular shape to his body.

The image one receives, when looking at a man with this figure wearing a tight T-Shirt gives off strong connotations of, extreme fitness, power, strength and most of all the alpha male status. With these representations is can be seen in this case how the T-Shirt gives off the personality of a man who works out and wants to show off his body. The simple reason the man chooses to wear a tight T-Shirt does represent much confidence in the sense that he wants people to see his body "ripping" out of his clothes.

So, from what has been discussed it is possible to see that T-Shirt are a major fashion necessity in order for, in this case the alpha male to show off his body, show off his strength and feel powerful in compassion to other males who do not have his body size, (emphasized by the T-Shirt). With more of society becoming victim to fashion and the importance of looking your best all the time it is clear to see that the T-Shirt is a major player in this field.
